  • It’s everything that happens before the concrete. We’re talking site cuts, digging out, clearing the space, getting levels right, trenching for pipes or cables, and making sure the ground is ready to go. Whether you’re laying a slab, planting a hedge, or just fixing drainage issues — it all starts here.

  • Nope — we’re often called in for landscape reshaping, drainage fixes, or even just cleaning up a site. We can help with one-off dig-outs, spoil removal, prepping for retaining walls, or contouring a tricky section. Doesn’t have to end with concrete.

  • Absolutely. One crew, one timeline, one point of contact — it just makes life easier. No delays waiting on someone else’s digger guy. No crossed wires. We do the lot, and it flows properly from start to finish.


  • You’re not wrong. We’ve worked on clay-heavy sections in Birkenhead, soft sandy soils near the coast, and rock-hard volcanic ground out west. Then there’s Kaipara Chaos soil — a real mix of clays, silts, and weathered rock that shows up in pockets around the region (including out our way). It can be tricky stuff, but we know how to work with it — and more importantly, how to plan for it. Auckland’s soils are wildly varied, but we’ve seen the lot.

  • Yes — we’ve done hillside digs, tight driveways, and backyards with barely a gate. If there’s access, we’ll get in. And if there’s not, we’ll work with you on a plan that makes sense.

  • Not with us. We bring the machinery, do the digging, remove the spoil, and leave the site tidy. That’s the beauty of going with a one-stop crew like ours.

  • Most jobs are knocked out in a day or two. Because we also pour the concrete, we make sure everything flows smoothly — no waiting around between trades.

  • We’re based in Kaukapakapa and work all over the North Shore, Rodney, and North West Auckland. But if you’re further out — anywhere from Puhoi to Pōkeno — we’re happy to quote and let you know what’s possible.

  • Sometimes, yep — especially if it's a large job or involves drainage or sloped land. But don’t stress — we’ll let you know if that’s something you need to look into. Most small residential jobs don’t need council consent, but we’ll always be straight with you.

  • Fair call. Earthworks can be weather dependent — especially with clay soils or soggy ground. We’ll always keep an eye on the forecast and give you a heads-up if we need to shift the schedule. No surprises.

  • We do. Sorting the drainage at the prep stage means your slab or yard doesn’t end up with pooling water. We’ll advise if you need extra trenching or soak pits and make sure it’s handled properly.
