It depends on what it’s being used for. Most residential slabs (like garages or sheds) are around 100mm thick, while commercial or heavy-use slabs might be thicker with added reinforcement. We’ll advise you based on what you need the slab to handle.

Yep , that’s part of the prep. We’ll level and compact the site properly, build formwork, and make sure drainage is handled before we pour. We’ll take care of the tricky stuff so your slab sits solid.

Once site prep is done, pouring and finishing the slab usually takes a day. You’ll need to let it cure properly before building on top, generally at least 7 days for light use and 28 days for full strength.

If it’s an interior floor, we can do polished, smooth, or ground finishes. For outdoor slabs, we usually leave a broom or trowel finish for grip. We’ll talk through the options depending on the look and use of the slab.

It depends on the size and use of the slab. For some small sheds or garden pads, you might not. For larger builds or anything structural, you likely will. We can help guide you through the consent process if needed.
